Bonita M. Fenner

Bonita Marie Fenner, 86, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at Westhaven Community in Boone.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Rev. Stephen Ude will officiate. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.

Bonita Marie Reimers was born on March 2, 1925, in rural Ogden, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Mildred (Rosene) Reimers. She graduated from Ogden High School before attending A.I.B. in Des Moines. Following her education, Bonnie worked at the Ordinance Plant in Ankeny and later at Bankers Life in Des Moines. On October 7, 1945, Bonita was united in marriage to Richard Fenner at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden. The couple established their home in Ogden where Bonnie worked for the United States Census Bureau and was a 30 year Avon Representative. Richard passed away on August 29, 2002. Bonnie moved to the Evangelical Free Church Home/Westhaven Community in Boone in August of 2007.

Bonnie belonged to Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden.

Among the survivors are her son, Scott and wife Mona Fenner of Urbandale, Iowa (Fenner Irrigation); daughter, Sharon and husband Errol Dixon of Moingona, Iowa; three grandchildren, Blake and his wife Missy Borwick and their children, Josh and Jenna, Anthony Fenner, and David and his wife Jessica Allison and their children, Samantha and Emily; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; a sister, Virginia and her husband Merrill Blaskey of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; and a niece and nephew of Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Richard Fenner.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
