Carl "Art" Chingren

Carl “Art” Chingren, 66, of Boxholm, Iowa, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at his home.

A private funeral service will be held at Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Public visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November, 24, 2021, at Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Carl Arthur Chingren was born on September 4, 1955, in Boone, Iowa, the son of Paul and Mary (Williams) Chingren.

Art graduated with the Grand Community High School class of 1973. He furthered his education at Iowa State University where he belonged to the Alpha Gamma Rho Agricultural Fraternity.

Art lived and farmed in the Boxholm and Pilot Mound area his entire life. He was an avid fan of Iowa State athletics, and belonged to the Boone County Cattleman’s Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his sister, Paula Jean (Mark) Seward of Eldora, Iowa; nieces, Christina Mae (Bryan) Denekas and Caroline Renae (Will) Tinker; grandnieces and grandnephews, Addison, Paul, Alida, and Kerstin; and his significant other, Penny Elder of Boxholm, Iowa.
