Coral J. O'Hearn

Coral J. O’Hearn, 83, of Lehigh, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

A funeral service for Coral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the Christian Church in Lehigh, Iowa. Pastor Richard Laird will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh. A Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton, Iowa.

Coral Joan Johnson, daughter of Albert and Ula (DuBois) Johnson was born on November 25, 1936 in Lehigh, Iowa. She received her education in Lehigh, graduating from Lehigh High School in 1954. She attended Fort Dodge Beauty Academy where she received her degree in cosmetology. Following her education, Coral worked at Younkers in Fort Dodge as a cosmetologist. On April 27, 1957 Coral married Paul O’Hearn at Christ The King Catholic Church in Dayton. The couple made their home in Lehigh, where she was a homemaker for many years while their children were young. In 1970, Coral began her employment at Franklin Manufacturing (Frigidaire) in Webster City where she worked until her retirement in 2002.

Survivors include her children, Michael (Cindy) O’Hearn of Northboro, IA., Daniel O’Hearn of Griswold, IA., Carol (Hans Madsen) Tell of Dayton, IA., Maurice (Joan) O’Hearn of Webster City, IA; 16 grandchildren; her siblings, Bruce (Lou) Johnson of Tallahassee, FL., Jenece Kisch of Lehigh, IA., David (Amy) Johnson of Azle, TX; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Coral was preceded in death by her husband Paul O’Hearn; and her siblings, Dick Johnson, Bonnie Vandi and twin sister, Carol Johnson.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
