Dan Miller

Dan Miller, 64, of Hermosa, South Dakota, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at his ranch in the Black Hills with family by his side.

Dan's wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Christ Lutheran Church, rural Bouton, Iowa. Rev. Max Phillips will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Daniel A. Miller was born on July 6, 1951, in Perry, Iowa, the son of Albert and Doris (Johnson) Miller. He graduated with the Ogden High School class of 1969, and went on to attend the University of Northern Iowa, graduating in 1974.

On December 16, 1972, Dan was united in marriage to Deb Bailey at Trinity Lutheran Church in Perry.

Survivors include his wife, Deb Miller of Hermosa, South Dakota; two sons, Ian (Amy) Miller of Kildeer, Illinois, and Heath (Kelly) Miller of Elkhorn, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Bryce, Allison, and Lincoln; one sister, Mary Mack of Delhi, Iowa; his mother in law, Velma Bailey of Bouton, Iowa; nephew, Pat (Jenny) Cook of Grand Junction, Iowa; and niece, Chelle Jermier of Norwalk, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, and step-mother, Helen Miller.
