Edward Nelson

Edward E. Nelson, 65, of Boxholm, Iowa, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015.

Edward Ernest Nelson was born on September 22, 1950, in St. James, Minnesota, the son of Vernon and Arlene (Knickrehm) Nelson. He was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boxholm. Ed graduated with the Grand Community High School class of 1969.

Ed served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge he farmed in Boxholm and later in Rembrandt, Iowa for a short period of time before moving to Edmond, Oklahoma. He later lived in Columbus, Ohio, where he worked in the construction field for the next 18 years. Ed enjoyed watching movies and helping his brother Bob on the farm.

Survivors include one son, Terry Nelson of Apple Valley, Minnesota; and brother, Bob (Rhonda) Nelson of Boxholm, Iowa. His parents preceded him in death.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
