Jane Kay Karnik, 71, died peacefully Thursday, November 13, 2014, at the Ogden Manor, Ogden, Iowa.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 18, 2014, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m., at Carson – Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden. Following visitation, Jane will be cremated. Jane Kay Karnik was born on February 3, 1943, in Decorah, Iowa. Jane lived most of her life at the Woodward Resource Center, Woodward, Iowa. She moved to a group home in Boone, Iowa, in 2005, and attended Adult Day Service at Woodward during the day. She became a resident of the Ogden Manor in 2013. Jane loved 'pretties' and was thrilled when she was offered a necklace, scarf, or hat to wear.

Jane is survived by her brother, Russell Karnik (Lorraine) of Fort Atkinson, Iowa; two sisters, Jody Klett (Daniel), and Sherayl Brown (James) all of Walford, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivaleen Sterner, Swisher, Iowa, and Frank Karnik, Fort Atkinson, Iowa.
