Jeff E. Thompson, 62, of Boone, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at UnityPoint Health – Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Jeffrey Eugene Thompson was born on May 5, 1960, in Boone, Iowa, the son of Louis and Janice (Holbrook) Thompson. He received his education in Wright County, Iowa, and went on to enlist in the Iowa National Guard.

Jeff previously worked as a truck driver and a pipefitter. He was currently employed as a driver for Railcrew Xpress.

In addition to his parents, Jeff is also preceded in death by his sister, Debra Kulow.

Survivors include two daughters, Crystal Chambers of Colome, South Dakota, and Heather Chambers of Tyndall, South Dakota; two grandchildren, Samuel and Makayla Chambers; step-mother, Judi Thompson of Eagle Grove, IA; one brother, Michael Lingren; five sisters, Laurie Kreitlow, Pam Rubenking, Lisa Kist, Lori Junck, and Lynette Hendrickson; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
