Joseph W. Good, 88, lifelong resident of Lehigh, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Grandview Health Care Center in Dayton.

Funeral services will be held 10:30, Friday, April 15, 2011, at the Christian Church in Lehigh. Pastor's Rod Meyer and Richard Laird will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lehigh. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton.

Joseph William Good was born on January 30, 1923, in Lehigh, Iowa, the son of William and Alice (Miller) Good. He enjoyed the woods and river of his beloved Lehigh. Joe was educated in Lehigh schools and spent 40 years employed at the Lehigh Sewer Pipe & Tile plant with his final position being production manager.

Joe was united in marriage to Zelpha (Babe) Wilson in 1940, and enjoyed 59 years together until her death on April 28, 2000. Their two daughters, Connie and Crystal and their families were their pride and joy.

Joe was a former member of the United Brethren Church in Lehigh and was a current member of the Lehigh Christian Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Connie (Rollie) Gustafson of Harcourt, Iowa, and Crystal (Randy) Beisch of Lehigh, Iowa; his grandchildren, Angie (Brad) Lambert, Mike (Sandy) Gustafson, and Logan Beisch will miss him greatly; four great grandchildren, Melanie and Amanda Lambert, and Isabella and Noah Gustafson; two sisters, Mary Podlesak of Lehigh, Iowa, and Lillian (Richard) Schultz of Fort Dodge, Iowa,; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Zelpha Good; and two sisters, Ruth Carpenter and Bessie Gehrt.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
