Judy Munson

Judy Munson, 75, of Boxholm, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016, at her home surrounded by family.

Judy's wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2016, at the United Methodist Church in Boxholm. Pastor Alaire Willits will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, from 9:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the Church. Private family burial will be held at a later date in Glenwood Cemetery Ogden, Iowa. Judith Ann Malcom was born on April 25, 1940, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of Cecil and Lois (Bain) Malcom.

Judy graduated with the Boone High School class of 1958, and went on to attend the University of Iowa.

On November 1, 1959, Judy was united in marriage to Gary Munson in Boone, Iowa. To this union two children were born: Marchelle K and Michael Gary Munson.

Following marriage the couple lived in Manchester until returning to Boone in 1966. Judy worked at the Boone County Hospital for over 20 years, was a realtor for Quam Real Estate, and worked in the Assessor's Office in the Boone County Courthouse until retiring in April of 2009. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Marcy (Willy) Schleif of Boxholm, Iowa; son, Mike Munson of Boxholm, Iowa; two granddaughters, Kristin (Josh) Wilson, and Karrie Peterson all of Boxholm, Iowa; her brother, John (Sue) Malcom of Chicago, Illinois; four nephews, Ryan, Joseph (Lisa), David, Michael Malcom; and her great niece, Julia Malcom.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gary in 1998, and one sister, Janice Malcom.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
