Kathryn Kay Miller

Kathryn K. Miller, 80, of Woodland Hills, California passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at her home in Woodland Hills.

A private family graveside service for Kathryn will be held at a later date at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden, Iowa.

Kathryn was known by family, friends and associates by her middle name “Kay”. Kay contracted cancer of her mouth in January of 2020 and suffered thru many surgeries and pain thru all of 2020. Kay was born on August 7, 1940 the daughter of John and Olga (Hanson) Burt. She married and had one daughter, Karla Efkamp Keigley, who currently resides in Boone, Iowa. Kay later divorced in 1968. Kay then went to live with her sister, Alice Barnett in Los Angeles, California.

Kay met and married Bernard Miller. Bernie had three children by a previous marriage. Kay became involved as a stepmother and remained so until her passing. All who knew Kay loved and admired her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Kay was immersed in her husbands job and business. She helped train major corporations sales representatives, in care, assembly, and use of power surgical instruments by Surgeons, used in hip, knee, and neuro surgery.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, and siblings, Phyllis Buckley, Bob Burt, Bill Burt, and Alice Barnett.

She is survived by her daughter, Karla (John) Keigley and their sons, Kyle and Jason Keigley; sister, Mary Ann Haleen; and many nieces and nephews.
