Kristen Elaine Tell

Kristen E. Tell, 66, of Clive, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Unity Point – Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 13, 2019, at the United Methodist Church in Dayton. Pastor Kay. Christie will officiate. Burial will be in the Dayton Cemetery. Visitation will be at Thursday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in

Kristen Elaine Tell was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on March 23, 1953, the daughter of George Wayne and Marilyn (Richardson) Tell. She graduated with the Dayton High School class of 1971. Kristen furthered her education at the University of Iowa, earning an Accounting Degree in 1975, and an MBA Degree from Drake University in 1982.

Kristen began at Meredith Corporation in 1979, where she spent her career. She worked her way up in the Corporation becoming Vice President and Comptroller of the Meredith Real Estate Group. She retired from Meredith Corporation in March of 2018.

Kristen was a supporter of the arts and could be seen frequently at the Des Moines Civic Center or the Temple for the Performing Arts. She can be remembered for her courage, adaptability, and humor.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Wayne Tell.

Kristen is survived by her mother, Marilyn Tell of Fort Dodge; one sister, Holly (Pastor Warren) Egebo of Green Bay, Wisconsin; two brothers, Stuart (Terri Knutson) Tell of Mason City, and Russell (Marsha Peterson) Tell of Ankeny; and many nieces and nephews.
