Lillian Dutcher

Lillian Dutcher, 94, of Webster City, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday morning, March 26, 2013, at the Stratford Nursing & Rehab Center.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 1, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Stratford. Pastors Mike Fendley and Jim Mead will officiate. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Webster City. Visitation will be Monday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the Church. Lillian Delores Lundquist was born on October 31, 1918, in Stratford, Iowa, the daughter of Benjamin and Maude (Hedlund) Lundquist. She graduated with the Stratford High School class of 1935, and played with the Stratford Indians in the Iowa Girls State Basketball Tournament her senior year. She went on to attend Webster City Junior College in Webster City for two years.

On October 8, 1938, Lillian was united in marriage to Rollie Dutcher at her parents' home in Stratford. To this union three children were born: Diana, Nancy, and Mark. Lillian and Rollie lived and farmed near McGuire Bend Church in Yell Township, rural Webster County, until moving to Webster City in 1961. Rollie passed away on April 8, 1982. In 2005, Lillian moved to Athens Woods Estates in Stratford, and in July of 2012 became a resident of the Stratford Nursing & Rehab Center.

Lillian was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Stratford where she was active in many church activities. She was a former member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City. Lillian enjoyed volunteering her time at Hamilton Hospital in Webster City as a Gray Lady, was an avid fan of all sports, enjoyed quilting, and most of all cherished time spent with her family.

Among the survivors are two daughters, Diana Bennington of Cedar Rapids, and Nancy (Larry) Ferrari of Pilot Mound, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Joyce Dutcher of Woolstock, Iowa; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; a niece, Elaine Lundquist of Stratford, Iowa; and a nephew, David Lundquist of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rollie Dutcher; her son, Mark Dutcher; five brothers, Cecil, John "Alton", Morris "Jim", Ralph, and Merle Lundquist; and one sister, Myrtle Boller.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
