Nyla Anderson

Nyla Anderson, 97, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at her home in Ogden.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ogden. Rev. Gordon Lundberg will officiate. Cremation will follow services and private burial will be at Swede Valley Cemetery in Ogden. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the Church. Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden is in charge of the arrangements.

Nyla Marie Bergstrom was born on October 17, 1915, in Ogden, Iowa, the daughter of Philip and Anna (Lind) Bergstrom. She was baptized and confirmed at Swede Valley Lutheran Church in Ogden. Nyla graduated with the Ogden High School class of 1932.

On February 12, 1939, Nyla was united in marriage to L. Ray Anderson at Swede Valley Lutheran Church. To this union one son was born: Dwight Kenneth Anderson. Nyla and Ray established their home in Ogden where Nyla was a homemaker.

Nyla belonged to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ogden and was active in its women's organizations.

Among the survivors are a half sister, Loretta Anderson of Stockton, California; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, L. Ray Anderson; son, Dwight Kenneth Anderson; brother, Kenneth (Marge) Bergstrom; and a half brother, Leo Nystrom.

Memorials may be left to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
