Patricia Cook, 69, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames with her family by her side.

Pat's wishes were to be cremated. A prayer service will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden followed by a luncheon in the Church basement. Visitation will be prior to the prayer service at the Church, starting at 10:00 a.m. Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden is serving the family.

Patricia Sue Crane was born on September 28, 1942, in Ogden, Iowa, the daughter of Lt. Senior Grade R.C. and Susan (Treloar) Crane. She graduated with the Ogden High School class of 1960, and went on to attend A.I.B. College in Des Moines and later Stephens College in Missouri.

On May 18, 1963, Pat was united in marriage to Carl Cook in Ogden, Iowa. To this union two children were born: Scott and Carla.

The couple made their home in Ogden where Pat worked briefly at the Ogden Manor. She was later employed by the Ogden Schools for over 30 years, starting out in the Jr. High and later working in the resource room at Ogden High School. She retired in May of 2010.

Pat belonged to the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden where she was active in Circle and taught Sunday school. She was also active on the Ogden Fun Days Committee for several years, and belonged to the Ogden Business Women, and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed crafts, reading, and loved her dogs. Pat was an avid fan of Iowa State Football and Ogden Bulldog Football, collecting tickets at the gate for the high school football games.

Her grandparents, and parents, preceded her in death.

Among the survivors are her husband Carl Cook; son, Scott (Allyson) Cook, and daughter, Carla (Taylor) Tidgren; three grandchildren, Andrew Cook, Andie Tidgren and Cidney Tidgren; and many other friends and relatives.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
