Paul N. Angell, 90, of Stratford, Iowa, and formerly of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019, at Stratford Specialty Care.
A family conducted memorial service for Paul will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Stratford, Iowa. Visitation will be from 1p.m. to 2p.m. on Saturday at the church. Arrangements were made with Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton.
Paul Naeve Angell was born on October 4, 1929, in Clare, Iowa, the son of John and Wilma (Naeve) Angell. He graduated with the Fort Dodge Sr. High School class of 1947.
On October 12, 1951, Paul was united in marriage to Clarine Rossow in Fort Dodge, Iowa. They lived in Louisiana while Paul served his Country in the Air National Guard towards the end of the Korean War. Following Paul’s service, they returned to Fort Dodge where he was employed at Cy’s Moving & Storage. In the early 1960’s Paul & Clarine moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he worked as a dispatcher and driver for City Van, later known as Horizon Moving Company. Clarine passed away in May of 1986.
On March 4, 1995, Paul married Beverly McCubbin in Tucson, Arizona. He retired from Horizon Moving Company in July of 1997. In May of 2017, Paul and Beverly moved to Athens Woods Estates in Stratford, Iowa.
Paul belonged to Faith Lutheran Church in Tucson, AZ. He enjoyed photography and was a good story teller.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Terry Angell and Howard Angell, wife, Clarine Angell, and his sister, Lois Hanson.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Beverly Angell of Stratford, Iowa; sons, Paul Mark (Joan) Angell of Albuquerque, NM, Craig Angell of San Francisco, CA, and Charles Angell of Viroqua, WI; daughter-in-law, Sally Angell of De Pere, WI; step-children, Peggy (Jeff) Simonds of Sycamore, IL, Greg (Kathleen) McCubbin of Bloomfield, CO, Jeff (Andrea) McCubbin of Galesburg, Michigan, Dennis (Karen) McCubbin of Gowrie, IA, and Terry Frazier of Stratford, IA; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alan (Vicki) Angell of Mesa, AZ, and Kenny Angel of Huxley, IA.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
