Randy Manchester

Randy Manchester, 52, of Lehigh, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at the V.A. Medical Center in Des Moines.
Randy's wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., at Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton, Iowa.
Randy Lee Manchester was born on August 27, 1960, the son of Robert Fry and Rosemary Manchester. He graduated with the Stratford High School class of 1979.
Following his education, Randy enlisted in the United States Marine Corp., serving from September of 1979 until his honorable discharge in September of 1981. He made his home in San Diego, California, where he worked in Postal Operations and later as a C.N.A. In April of 2009, he returned to Iowa, making his home in Lehigh. Randy enjoyed his dogs, gardening, and listening to music.
Among the survivors are his partner, Dale Deardorff, of Lehigh, Iowa; a brother, David Bowers (Tami Johnson) of Fort Dodge, Iowa; sisters, Lisa Rowley of Lehigh, Iowa, and Marilyn Fry (Roger Anderson), and Nancy Vandehaar of Des Moines, Iowa; niece, Jennifer Michelle Jones, nephew Jordan Dale Bowers; and uncle & aunt Earnie (Penny) Manchester, and Uncle, Joe Lewis.
His parents preceded him in death.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
