Roger L. Frazier, 82, passed away on Sunday morning, March 6, 2022, at his home in Lanyon, Iowa.

Following Roger’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Roger’s life will be held by the Frazier family at a later date. Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton, Iowa is caring for Roger and his family.

Roger Lee Frazier, son of Ray and Martha (Winters) Frazier was born on May 26, 1939, in Ashtabula, Ohio. Roger was raised in Ashtabula and attended schools there.

On September 25, 1961, Roger married Laura Riley in Hollydale, CA. The couple later divorced. On May 22, 1991, Roger was united in marriage to Merrilee Cash in Santa Ana, CA. Roger and Merrilee lived in several communities in California before making Lanyon, Iowa their home. Roger held several positions throughout his career. He worked at Texaco Oil Refinery for over 25 years in Wilmington, CA, where he was an Assistant Foreman until his retirement in 2001. Roger then started his own janitorial business in which he named R&L Janitorial. In 1998, Roger and Merrilee moved to Iowa and Roger worked at Wahkonsa Village until 2001, when he started enjoying his retirement years. However, he still offered a helping hand to his family, neighbors, and friends in projects that they needed help with.

In addition to his parents, Roger was also preceded in death by his son, Edward Frazier; five brothers, Raymond, John, William, James, and Joseph Frazier; and three sisters, Leona Frazier, Dorothy Heavilin, and Ellen Dagg.

Survivors include his loving wife, Merrilee Frazier of Lanyon; four sons, Roger Frazier, Jr. of Fort Dodge; Ron (Suzanne) Frazier of Dayton, Chris (Vikki) Frazier also of Dayton, and Michael Frazier of Lanyon; two daughters, Michelle Frazier and Sharon Frazier both of California; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
