Adeline Evelyn Wagner

Adeline E. Wagner, 84, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Adeline will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Ogden with visitation beginning before the service at 9:00 a.m. Father Timothy Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow the service at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Ogden, Iowa. Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden has been entrusted with arrangements.

Adeline Evelyn Frodl, daughter of Henry and Clara (Nikolai) Frodl was born on June 22, 1942, in Marathon County, Wisconsin. She graduated from Newman Catholic High School in Wausau, Wisconsin with the class of 1960.

On May 13, 1961, Adeline was united in marriage to Alois T. Wagner at Holy Name Church in Wausau, Wisconsin. Over the years, the couple lived in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Colorado, Saudi Arabia and Iowa. They also traveled throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South Korea, and Japan.

Adeline was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church.

Her hobbies included, quilting, embroidery, painting, and crafts. She also enjoyed hiking, cross country skiing, being in the mountains, and traveling. She was involved in numerous sewing groups in different states. She especially loved playing games and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Adeline was also preceded in death by her husband, Alois Wagner; her grandson, Ryan Wagner; her brothers, Joseph, Henry Jr., Norbert, John and George Frodl; her sisters, Clara Wisniewski, Marie Boone, and Florence Wagner.

Survivors include her five children, Brian Wagner, Debbie (Gaylin) Shaw, Lisa (Kevin) Shimoda, Laurie Wagner, and Gloria Nikolai; 10 grandchildren, Forest and Kaylee Wagner, Becky (Marshal) Dreessen, Dani and Jacob (Kayla) Shaw, Angela, Thierry and Stephanie Shimoda, Ben Tuffield and Joel Wenzel; five great grandchildren, Adeline and Roland Wagner, Kaiden and Brexton Dreessen, and Maverick Shaw; and her sister, Dorothy Matis.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
