Casey Allen Ford, 23, of Boone, Iowa, and formerly of Churdan, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013, at his home.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 20, 2013, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Farnhamville. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church . Rev. Robert Zellmer will officiate. Burial will be at the Highland Township Cemetery in Churdan. Casey Allen Ford was born on February 28, 1990, in Ames, Iowa, to Jeff Ford and Jodee (Phillips) Glover both of Churdan. He was welcomed home by his big sister, Angelina.
Casey attended school at Paton – Churdan until the 5th grade, and from then on attended and graduated from Prairie Valley High School in May of 2009. He had worked at Orscheln's in Boone and was currently employed as a plant operator at Hach Chemical in Boone.
Casey loved his family, friends, and especially his dog, Bullwinkle. He loved spending time with his friends and family, and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Casey also loved Allis Chalmer's tractors just like his dad, Jeff and brother, Nolan. Casey's hobby was taking care of his pal, Bullwinkle and his Camaro that he bought while in high school.
Survivors include Casey's parents, Jeff Ford of Churdan, Iowa; Jodee (Mike) Glover of Churdan, Iowa; brother, Nolan Ford of Churdan, Iowa; sister, Angelina (Marty) McDonald of Scranton, Iowa; nephew and nieces, Harley, Briella, and Jerzee McDonald, and Bailey Monthei of Scranton, Iowa; Casey's dog, Bullwinkle; grandparents, Donald & Janice Ford of Dayton, Iowa, Lee & Luella Phillips of Otho, Iowa, and Julie Gooch of Des Moines, Iowa; as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Violet Vance, and great grandfather, RJ Vance.
A memorial fund is set up in Casey's name at the United Bank of Iowa in Churdan.
