Cindy Lou Cummings

Cindy L. Cummings, 62, of Pilot Mound, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.

A memorial service for Cindy will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden, Iowa. Inurnment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in rural Boone.

Cindy Lou Daniels, daughter of Milton and Etta (Allen) Daniels was born on August 6, 1960, in Vancouver, Washington. She graduated from Grand Community High School in Boxholm, Iowa, with the class of 1978. Cindy then attended La’ James International College in Fort Dodge.

Cindy met Robert Cummings while living in Florida and the couple were united in marriage at her mother’s home in Pilot Mound. After several years of marriage, the couple divorced.

Cindy worked for many years at Stratford Telecommunications and became an ordained minister in 2021. She enjoyed rock hunting, painting, collecting things, and loved her dog Reba.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Milton Daniels; one sister, Pamela Jo Southworth; two brothers, David LeRoy Daniels and Charles McKinley Daniels; her nephew, Nathan Southworth; five aunts, three uncles, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include her mother, Etta Daniels of Pilot Mound; two brothers, Larry Daniels also of Pilot Mound, and John Daniels of Boone; one half-brother, Mark Daniels; two half-sisters, Crystal Harris and Kerry Daniels all of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
