Deke Becker

March 27, 1952 — March 30, 2026

Dietrich “Deke” Becker, 74, of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, March 30, surrounded by his family. Dietrich was born on March 27, 1952 in Oelwein, Iowa. Over the years he lived in many places, most notably Ogden, IA. Grain Valley, MO. and Moore, OK. and became a favored neighbor wherever he lived.

Deke was married for 47 years to the love of his life, Dianna (McCoy) Becker. Together they built a family that was the center of his life and his greatest pride.

He is survived by his wife, Dianna Becker; his children, Tammy Cook (Ken), Terisa Marlow (Jim), and Tony Becker (Stephanie). He was a proud grandfather to Cody (Kacie) Cook, Reagan (Zach) Bloyed, Lucas (Meagan) Marlow, Abby Marlow (fiancé Tyler Glenn), Brody Becker, and Brenden Becker. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Caden Cook, Kyler Cook, Owen Marlow, Evren Marlow, and Waylon Bloyed. Deke is also survived by a large family of brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Deke enjoyed a long career as an engineer with BNSF Railroad. It was a career he took great pride in. Outside of work, he loved fishing, attending car shows, and most of all spending time with his family. One of his greatest joys was teaching his grandchildren how to drive and being part of their lives as they grew up.

He was a dedicated member of his church and was known for his joking personality and sense of humor. He was especially known for his annual April Fool’s Day shenanigans, which became something family and friends always expected and remembered.

Deke will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love for his family, his faith, and his sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his precious Carmie (his fur-baby)! Oh and if you see a cardinal, let it be a reminder that Deke is near by watching over his loved ones.
