In loving memory of Donna Erickson

It's with full hearts and a few tears that we share the passing of our incredible mom, Donna June Erickson, who left us on July 1st, 2025 at the age of 61. She went peacefully, surrounded by love, laughter, and (as she would've wanted) very little fuss at Mary Greeley Medical Center.

Born on February 25, 1964 to Ernest Harold Reed and Theresa June Holme in Phoenix, Arizona.

She married the love of her life Doran Erickson on April 17th, 2008.

Mom was one of a kind-- funny, fierce, the best kind of stubborn, and a prankster- she always had something up her sleeve. She loved her dogs (Jesse and Gypsy), the She Shack, crafting, garage saleing, thrifting, and a good game of cards. She hated when people would throw out something that was nice or useful, the hoarder in her would come out.

She leaves behind her husband, Doran Erickson; her children: Cassidy (Megan) Engelby of Jewell, Curtis (Ashley) Engelby of Iowa Falls, Chris (Tori) Engelby of Oskaloosa, Cayla (Jordan) Pushor of Pella, and Brianna (Erickson) (Justin) Richardson of Stratford; her grandchildren: Addison Engelby, Mason Engelby, Keaton Engelby, Caydin Engelby, Jayce Engelby, Ila Engelby, Ezekiel Engelby, Iridessa Engelby, Raelynn Engelby, Hayden Engelby, Holden Engelby, Araya Pushor, Paityn Pushor, Brixtyn Pushor, Asher Richardson, Ava Richardson, and a few too many things from thrift stores and garage sales.

There won't be a formal service, per her request-- "Don't put people in a room to cry over me." So we will be honoring her with a celebration of life with lots of laughter and stories to tell on August 23rd, 2025 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Stratford, IA.

Mom, thank you for everything. You were the best of us. We will miss you always, And yes--we'll try not to make it "too sappy".
