Dorothy M. Wisecup

Dorothy M. Wisecup, 94, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at the Boone County Hospital.

Dorothy's wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of life service will be held 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. Rev. Gary Hoyt will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Boone. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Community United Methodist Church. Dorothy Mae Zenor was born on June 27, 1921, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of Raynard and Pearl (Baker) Zenor. She attended Gilbert schools until the 9th grade.

On February 15, 1946, Dorothy was united in marriage to Howard Wisecup in Boone. The couple lived and farmed southwest of Ogden until moving into town in 1973. Dorothy worked as a housekeeper at the Ogden Manor.

Dorothy was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden.

Survivors include two daughters, Joyce (Ray) Stumbo of Boone, Iowa, and Janice Munson of Ogden, Iowa; five grandchildren, Lynn Clark, Joel (Doreen) Munson, Dawn (Rus) Schmidt, Reesha (Josh Stark) Munson, and Jamin Munson; eleven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy (Irma) Zenor of Red Oak, Iowa, and Richard (Joanne) Zenor of Boone, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Howard Wisecup on February 20, 2006, one great-grandchild, Brandon Schmidt, four brothers, Robert, Marvin, Lloyd and Harold Zenor, two sisters, Mildred Pentico and Bessie Peterson.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
