Jaci was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Sherry Bartow and Michael J. Meils. She was raised in Otho, Iowa, and South Dakota, and throughout her life she built a family and a circle of friends who knew just how much love she had to give.

Jaci was an amazing daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and so much more. She had a heart for caring for others and found her calling working as a CNA, where she cared for people as though they were part of her own family. Caring for others wasn’t simply a job to Jaci—it was a part of who she was.

Jaci was married to Michael Schwering Sr. Together, they were blessed with three children: Crystal, Ashli, and Michael Schwering

In 2004, Jaci and Keith Golz began their life together, and they remained together til the end. They enjoyed a life filled with family, laughter, memories, and all of the little adventures that Jaci loved. In 2006, Jaci and Keith welcomed their son Oliver Meils.

Jaci loved being outdoors and making memories that her family will carry with them forever. Some of her favorite memories were made on trips to Dolliver, enjoying picnics, taking motorcycle rides, and spending time mushroom and asparagus hunting. She was also an avid rock collector.

She is survived by her beloved family that includes her father, Michael J. (Betty) Meils, of Hot Springs, SD; significant other, Keith Golz of Otho; ex-husband, Michael Schwering Sr; Her children, Ashli (Tyler) Schwering of Humboldt, Michael (Cearra) Schwering of Stratford, Oliver Meils of Otho, Allie (Rob) Golz of Coalville, Tyler Ayala of Fort Dodge, Scott Ayala of Fort Dodge, Ryan Ayala of Fort Dodge, Buck Trueblood of Carroll, and Jorie Trueblood of Coon Rapids; her beloved grandchildren: Sophia, Baby Askelson, Kysen, Langston, Bentley, Jackson, Brooklyn, Kadence, Kharma, Mason, Robert, Tennessee, and Serenity; her siblings, Tammy (Scott) Lastine, Philip (Hannah) Chavez and Oliver (Paige) Chavez; three nieces and five nephews; seven great-nieces and two great-nephews; many aunts and uncles; cousins, dear friends; and her redneck lover, Trish Sorenson.

Jaci is preceded in death by her mother, Sherry; her daughter, Crystal; her son, Nick; daughter Amanda; her grandparents; and her aunt, Jane Conners.

Jaci’s life was filled with love, family, laughter, hard work, and memories that will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a family who will miss her more than words can express, but who will continue to carry her love, her stories, her laughter, and her unforgettable spirit with them.

She was deeply loved, and was one of a kind. She will always remain in our hearts.
