Jeffry “Jeff” Zabel, 62, of Lehigh, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Jeffry Jerald Zabel, son of Jerald and Clara (Ewing) Zabel was born on June 2, 1964, in Webster City, Iowa. Jeff was a graduated of Fort Dodge Senior High.

He was previously married to Kim Birch. They were blessed with one son, Cody.

Later, he was married to Jennifer Kramer for several years.

Jeff enjoyed horseback riding, rodeo, and camping. He loved all animals especially his current horse Frank, and Bob the dog.

Survivors include his son, Cody Zabel of Fowler, CO; mother, Clara (Denny Schlueter) Gansz of Rathbun, IA; father, Jerald Zabel of Duncombe, IA; three brothers, Matt (Erin) Zabel, Doug (Stephany) Zabel, and Levi (Kristin) Gansz; one sister, Kendra (Clint Wells) Gansz; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
