Julie Taylor, 69, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017, at her home in Ogden.

Julie's wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Waters Edge in Ogden. Pastor Rick Summerhays will officiate. Julia Mae Taylor born January 20, 1947, in Avon, IL, the daughter of Francis & Darlene (Freburg) Lambiaso.

She graduated from Abingdon Illinois High School in 1965. She earned a degree from Browns Business College in Galesburg, IL in the secretarial program. Julie moved to Indianapolis where she worked for a greeting card company. She was married to Jack Allen Pratt for three months until his death. To this union Jack Hubert Gene was born. Two years later she met Junior Taylor at the A & W in Abingdon, IL. They married June 7, 1969 in Abingdon. To this union three children were born Kimberly Jill, Jessica, and Jason. The couple lived in Altona, IL before moving to Ogden in 1979. Julie worked for Archway of Boone until the company moved. She ran a daycare for many years.

Julie was a part of the Ogden Business Women and enjoyed spending time at The Well in Ogden. She was an excellent baker, having made many wedding cakes, cookies, breads, and candies. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting, cooking, canning, and teaching people on food preparation. With all of this activity, she always had time for her family.

Survivors include her husband, Junior Taylor of Ogden; her children, Jack (Shelly) Taylor of Red Wing, MN, Jill (Mike) Ahrens of Ogden, Jessica Addy and her friend Dan Bracy of Ankeny, IA, and Jason (Tammy) Taylor of Ogden; Tony (Trudy) Kramer of Boone; 11 grandchildren James, Joyanna, Abigail, Elijah, Gabriel, Mikael, Stephon, Mackenzy, Sophia, Isaac, and Ava; three great grandchildren Ivan, Calleigh, and Brantley; brother Ted (Lovina) Lambasio; two sisters Dr. Marlene Lambiaso and Darlene Patrick; two sisters-in-law Betty Taylor and Judy Lambiaso.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, and two brothers Linden Taylor and Frank Lambiaso.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
