Kelby Engleen

Kelby Engleen, 21, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 23, 2017, at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. Rev. Gary Hoyt will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. Kelby Layne Engleen was born on March 23, 1995, in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of Troy and Laurie (Johnson) Engleen.
Kelby graduated with the Ogden High School class of 2013. She was attending D.M.A.C.C. In Boone. She was working as a waitress at Olde Main Brewing Company in Ames.

Kelby enjoyed being outdoors and was always ready for an adventure, especially with her best friend Sydney Neubauer. She enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and tubing down the river. She also enjoyed shopping and going on trips.

She is survived by her father, Troy Engleen of Ogden, her mother Laurie Engleen of Boone, her brother, Taylon Engleen, her paternal grandparents Dwight Engleen, of Slater, Janice Engleen, of Boone. Her maternal grandmother, Marilyn Straight of Boone. Her aunts and uncles Chalon Engleen, of Ogden, Brad and Sharron Johnson of Missouri, Kerry and Justin Weeces, of Ames, her cousins Ashley Johnson, Jake and Caitlin Weeces, and Megan Engleen.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Bruce Johnson, step-grandfather Don Straight and great grandparents.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
