Lois Campidillli

Lois M. Campidilli, 84, of Indianola, Iowa, and formerly of Lehigh passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m, Monday, April 23, 2012, at the United Methodist Church in Lehigh. Rev. Dennis Shepherd will officiate. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh. Visitation will be Sunday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton.

Lois Marie Penton was born on March 27, 1928, in Massena, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Hildred (Cox) Penton. She graduated with the Massena High School class of 1945. Lois was married to Jim Brandt on December 25, 1947, and the couple later divorced. On August 29, 1957, Lois was united in marriage to Fred Campidilli at the United Methodist Church in Otho. Lois and Fred established their home in Lehigh. Lois worked as a dietary supervisor at Park Manor and later at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. Fred passed away on January 27, 1998. In May of 2010, Lois moved to Windsor Manor in Indianola.

Lois belonged to the United Methodist Church in Lehigh where she was active in many church activities. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, playing cards, and most of all spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, James Brandt (Melinda Lear) of Des Moines, Iowa, Patti Campidilli of Indianola, Iowa; Michael (Jodi) Campidilli of Story City, Iowa and Jon (Karen) Campidilli of Gig Harbor, Washington; six grandchildren, Whitney (Ethan) Meyer, Tyler (Katie) Brandt, Judson Lee, Tucker Lee, Marcus Campidilli, and Samuel Campidilli; one sister, Virginia Barnholdt of Atlantic, Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Penton of Atlantic, Iowa. Her parents; husband, Fred Campidilli; and an infant son, Joe Alan Campidilli; preceded her in death.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
