Mary A. Flickinger, 97, of Lehigh, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Grandview Health Care Center in Dayton.
Private family burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh.
Mary Alice Trueblood was born on August 26, 1923, on a farm near Lehigh the daughter of James and Rebecca (Renner) Trueblood. She graduated with the Burnside High School class of 1941. Mary was united in marriage to Earl E. Flickinger on June 12, 1943. The couple farmed near Lehigh until retiring and moving into Lehigh in 1991.
Mary belonged to the United Methodist Church in Lehigh. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening and helping with the farm work.
Survivors include two sons, John (Karla) Flickinger of Lehigh, Iowa, and Charles (Betty) Flickinger of Fort Dodge, Iowa; four grandchildren, Chris (Brooke) Flickinger of Hereford, Texas, Amy (Anthony) Willard of Eagle Grove, Iowa, Andrew Flickinger (Taylor Cathey) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Abigail (Jesse) Williams of Iowa City, Iowa; and eight great-grandchildren plus one due to arrive in February of 2022.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earl Flickinger on October 12, 2006,
three brothers, Haskell, William, and Edward Trueblood, and her sister, Agnes Foote.
