Mildred “Millie” Henriksen, 94, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Westhaven Community in Boone, Iowa.

A funeral service for Millie will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Community United Methodist Church. Reverend Heidi Farmer and Reverend Evelyn Lewiston will officiate. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday, January 18th at the church. Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden has been entrusted with arrangements.

Mildred Pearl Everson, daughter of Louis and Emma (Meador) Everson was born on January 30, 1930, in Davey, Nebraska. Millie graduated from Northeast High School in Lincoln, Nebraska with the class of 1947. 

On July 4, 1948, Millie was united in marriage to Raymond Henriksen in Lancaster County, Nebraska. In her early years, she worked at the Elgin Watch Factory and after raising her five children, she did painting and staining in the Ogden area.

Millie was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. She loved music, played the piano, was a member of the Bell Choir at CUMC, and was always singing around the house. Millie enjoyed golfing, gardening, bowling, square dancing, and attending her family’s sports and music events. She also loved to travel. Some of her favorite trips were to Costa Rica, Ecuador, Italy, Denmark, and Alaska.

In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Henriksen; her grandson, Tyler Henriksen; two sisters, Joyce and Carol; three brothers, Wesley, Melvin, and Lyle.

Survivors include her four sons, Michael (Darcy) Henriksen of Watertown, WI, David (Susan) Henriksen of Overland Park, KS, Tom (Beth) Henriksen of Ames, IA, and John (Robin) Henriksen of Salem, IA; her daughter, Sally (Chuck) Good of Ogden, IA; 20 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. 

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
