Susan Marie Richardson

Susan M. Richardson, 74, of Dayton, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

A memorial service for Susan will be held at a later date with burial at Saint Patricks Cemetery in Britt, Iowa. Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton has been entrusted with arrangements.

Susan Marie O’Hern, daughter of Maurice and Susie (Harmdierks) O’Hern was born on September 27, 1947 in Britt, Iowa. She received her education from the Britt Community Schools. Susan pursued her education by earning her C.N.A. Certificate. Following her education, Susan worked as a private duty caretaker and Nurses Aide in Britt, Duncombe Heights and at Grandview Health Care in Dayton. She also cared for her mother for many years. Susan was a proud grandma and great grandma who always put everyone before herself.

In addition to her parents, Susan was also preceded in death by her brother, Bill O’Hern and Aunt, Betty.

Survivors include her loving husband, Dee Richardson of Dayton; three sons, Scott (Mary) Johnson and Ora (Tami) Johnson both of Dayton, Arlan Johnson of Greene; four sisters, Deb, Vicki, Maureen and Becky; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
